Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
Today, my dad and I went out on an adventure to get baseball cards. After successfully completing our mission, we stopped at Chick-Fill-A. For all y'all Wisconsin folks, that is the best fast food place. Period. As we pulled in to the parking lot, there was a family standing there. Their sign simply read: No Food. I have a family. A wife and three kids. God bless. My dad turned to me and said, "We are buying them lunch." I responded with, "Why wouldn't we? We can." And with that said, we got out of the car and told the family this. The wife came inside to order food. Her name is Carmen. Little did we know, she and her family moved here from Romania. Her English was far from perfect, but her emotions shone through. She continued to say God bless, and I love America. Now there's a perspective changer. She's a mom of three and can't feed her children, yet she loves America. Her faith is something I cannot help but marvel at. In talking to her, she said, "Every day I pray for people, and God sends more each day. God bless." Talking with her, I am humbled by her faith. I can't fathom what she and her family are going through. And I imagine that most of you reading this can't either. But I do ask that you keep this family in your prayers. God sent me another eye opener today, and I'm so glad He did. In the words of my dad, "The crazy thing is that she walks away thinking we made her day, but in reality, it was her who made ours."

Hi everyone!
I'm just going to explain how Rotary works so that in future posts it is easier to understand what I'm saying. Rotary is made up of districts. My district is District 6220. In my district, there are many Rotary clubs. Some of these clubs have chosen to participate in the Rotary Youth Exchange Program. My sponsoring Rotary club is Appleton Downtown. The Appleton Downtown Rotary Club selected two students to participate in this program. I was one of them. Vocab Time! Yah! Don't worry it's just two really important words. Outbound, this word is used for students who are waiting to go on their exchange. So for example, I am an outbound. Then there are inbounds, these are students from other countries who are on their exchange right now. Now for the fun part, names! Kati is my Outbound Coordinator. She makes sure everything goes well. She is kinda like Alfred in the Batman cartoons. Alfred does all the behind the scenes stuff, and without him, Batman wouldn't exist. Kati takes care of all the paper work, and she makes sure all the outbounds are doing well. There is also a man named Robb. He is my Rotary Youth Exchange Officer. In other words, he is Batman. He is the one who checks up on me in my year abroad and reports back to Appleton Downtown. So I hope this is understandable. I am known for being a wee bit confusing, but if you have any questions at all, email me or comment and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. |
AuthorI love Jesus, my family and baseball. Without my Savior I know I would defiantly not be the person I am today, and the same can be said about my family. My family is always there for me, and we all love three things for sure, Jesus, baseball, and each other. Categories
