The first time Miguel talked to me was at Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium. It was a warm August day, and I, as usual had some cards to get signed, and Sano just happened to be one of the players I needed to get. At the time, Miguel was on the Disabled List and couldn't play. So when I called him over and asked him to sign, he stared talking to me. His English was surprisingly good considering just six months before, he was home in the Dominican Republic. We sat and talked all the way up to game time, when all of the sudden he noticed the cards I still had to get signed by other players. Sano took them and got them all signed for me. All sixteen of them! It was after the last game in the series that he told me about his movie, Pelotero. Naturally, as soon as I got home, I raced downstairs and turned on Netflix and found the movie. And so I sat for the next hour and fourteen minutes captivated by this movie. It depicted life as a pelter, or better known as ballplayer, in the Dominican and the challenges of getting signed.
If you want to watch Pelotero, you can find it on Netflix. Here is the first movie's website: http://peloterothemovie.com
