Today, my dad and I went out on an adventure to get baseball cards. After successfully completing our mission, we stopped at Chick-Fill-A. For all y'all Wisconsin folks, that is the best fast food place. Period. As we pulled in to the parking lot, there was a family standing there. Their sign simply read: No Food. I have a family. A wife and three kids. God bless. My dad turned to me and said, "We are buying them lunch." I responded with, "Why wouldn't we? We can." And with that said, we got out of the car and told the family this. The wife came inside to order food. Her name is Carmen. Little did we know, she and her family moved here from Romania. Her English was far from perfect, but her emotions shone through. She continued to say God bless, and I love America. Now there's a perspective changer. She's a mom of three and can't feed her children, yet she loves America. Her faith is something I cannot help but marvel at. In talking to her, she said, "Every day I pray for people, and God sends more each day. God bless." Talking with her, I am humbled by her faith. I can't fathom what she and her family are going through. And I imagine that most of you reading this can't either. But I do ask that you keep this family in your prayers. God sent me another eye opener today, and I'm so glad He did. In the words of my dad, "The crazy thing is that she walks away thinking we made her day, but in reality, it was her who made ours."
